Alberto Cappelletto Works
Hi! I’m Alberto
a graphic designer and art director from Milan, Italy. Focusing mainly on graphic design, visual identity and motion design, I had the chance to explore both printed and digital material, and to reflect a set of fundamental design values. Passion and attention to detail are two fundamental aspects of my work process, as I carry out each project in the finest possible way.

Do Not Friday Venezia ︎︎︎ Event Identity

Since 2013, I’ve been part of Do Not Friday, a private collective that for over 10 years has organized cultural, musical and artistic events in the Venetian territory. Over the years, DNF has collected numerous collaborations with national and international artists, institutions, like the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, radio stations, such as Rai Radio 2, magazines and industry blogs such as Soundwall, Resident Advisor, VICE, Noisey and Complex.

In December 2018, I designed the visual identity for the traditional X-MAS Party at Argo16 in Venice. The visual language should have aimed at representing the underground and at the same time refined style of the event. I decided to use for my artwork a distorted type obtained through the scanning of an analog picture. The outcome was energetic and flexible, and it well represented the collective as an institution for music, art and creativity.

In the following years, I was able to design new artworks maintaining a common thread with the Christmas one. The legend of the Krampus, the mythological creature linked to the figure of St. Nicholas, was the main inspiration for my visuals for the X-MAS party in 2019. I chose to make the Krampus the protagonist of this series of artworks to enhance ironically the contrast between the party and the naivety of the celebration.
